21 May 2005 PDF mapping - now in glorious technicolorI haven't written much here recently, largely because I've been working 110% of the time. Quite a lot of this has been spent on Waterscape's Boaters' Guides - the dynamic PDF mapping. They're nearly ready for launch, so for a bit of fun, I thought I'd try adding the OS bitmaps which I use for the Flash mapping. Here's what you get: That's the Fossdyke in Lincoln, as you may have guessed. (Woo-hoo - we're the top Google result for 'fossdyke'.) The economics of OS licensing, and the hefty file sizes, mean that we could never offer this as standard. But as a premium service - now that's got potential. Incidentally, the first version of the Flash mapping's now live, but you'll have to hunt to find it. :)
CommentsTee hee! I know where it is, and it's still looking swanky. :) Posted by Jon on 22.5.05 09:35 |
